Leonora Carrington
Leonora Carrington (1917-2011) is an artist who needs no introduction – an English debutante who eloped with Max Ernst to Paris in 1937 where she was instantly at the center of the Surrealist group until she fled France during the second world war to Mexico where she became a towering figure of twentieth century art, with much of her work in the permanent collections of the worlds leading museums.
